America's Decarbonized Power Solution for the Data Center Boom

Caterpillar Inc, OnePWR Solutions and Vero3 today announced their strategic collaboration focused on developing large-scale lower-carbon power generation and permanent carbon storage projects to support mission-critical facilities, including data center infrastructure. The parties intend to collaborate on the design of a fully integrated solution combining natural gas–based prime power generation, carbon capture, battery energy storage, and permanent geological sequestration of carbon dioxide.

Governor Mark Gordon (R-WY) appeared on NewsNation this afternoon to discuss data center development in Wyoming. The Governor emphasized Wyoming’s track record of balancing responsible development with protecting the state’s way of life, noting that future growth must happen on Wyoming’s terms.

The Trump administration’s February 2026 launch of Project Vault, a $12 billion public-private critical minerals reserve, represents the most aggressive US strategic stockpiling initiative since the Korean War. Backed by the largest loan in the Export-Import Bank’s 92-year history, complemented by direct equity stakes in mining companies and $7.5 billion in congressional appropriations, the initiative responds to a vulnerability that did not exist during the Cold War: structural dependence on Chinese mineral processing and refining capacity across virtually every technology and defense supply chain.
